Select Kit Items

The products in the selected kit display with Product Numbers, Group, Descriptions, Kit Quantity, Charge Status, Discount %, and Available Quantity as defined in Kits.
The prompts are:

KIT #

The Kit number and description are displayed.

PRODUCT #

One of the following displays:

• The product number from the kit item is displayed. This can be a sales part or a rental item.

• K* followed by numbers or letters indicates that this kit item is another kit.
  If this kit is Added, then the items in the sub-kit will be displayed in a similar window next.

• * is displayed to indicate that this kit item is actually a Group.
  A specific product number within the Group must be selected before the document can be converted to a contract.

  GROUP

  A Group number is only displayed if an * is entered in the Product # field.
  A specific product number within the Group must be selected before the document can be converted to a contract or an invoice can be created.

  When the Kit with a Group is being selected to fill a Contract and a product to fill the Group must be selected from the Select a Product for this Group window, a filter is provided to "Only Show Products in Document Location" that can be used to re-create the list of products in the Group, including only those with a quantity at the document location.
  The availability may still be zero based on requirements and bookings, but the 'On Hand' count at the document location must be greater than 0.

  Note: If the Kit is being used to generate a list of items to be transferred, the Group will be ignored.

SELECT

This check box reflects the default defined in the Add field for the product in Kits, and can be changed as required.

Uncheck this box to exclude the product from the document or transfer.
Check this box to include the product on the document or transfer.

DESCRIPTION

The product description displays as it will print on the document.
Alternate customer language is respected.

Security:
If the operator has been given Security Role Permissions in the Document Access Fields to change product descriptions in document entry, this product description can be over-typed if required.

QUANTITY

Accept the default quantity per this kit, or type in the correct quantity.

CHARGE

This field only applies if the kit item is being added to a document that will be billed.

Uncheck this box if this product is not billable when it is on a kit.
Check this box if there should be a charge for this product.

DISC %

This field only applies if the kit item is being added to a document that will be billed.

Accept the discount percent that defaults from the kit, or type in the correct discount when the item is included as part of this kit.
This discount does not yet include any customer discount that may apply.

Kits discounts can be used to allow "bundled" or package pricing.

Security:
The ability to over-ride discounts on kit items in the Select Kit Items window on a document, is controlled by the Security Role Permissions assigned to the operator for the Rental And Sale Kit %, Detail by type of document, and regardless of this flag once a kit is accepted if there are kit defined discounts on an item, the discount can no longer be adjusted.

AVAILABLE

This field only applies if the kit item is being added to a document.

The current quantity available is displayed.

Finished?

When the items are selected from the Kit with the correct quantity, and pricing information, click OK to accept the product selection and exit the Kit window.
