Count Tag Entry

The Count Tag is the physical document on which staff can record the actual inventory quantity from a stock count.
The tag is a unique sequential number for the sales or rental product per location or bin number.
This utility uses Count Tags as an alternative to capture the inventory quantities counted at year-end inventory, to populate the Update Inventory Worksheet, using the Update Worksheet with Count Tags utility.

Process Flow for utilizing Count Tags:

1. Generate inventory count sheets from the Inventory Count Console
2. Generate count tags using Generate Count Tags which will read all the products in the worksheet and print a tag for each product number.
   There is also an option to generate blank count tags which can be used for any product # on the inventory count sheets (most likely for those on page zero which do not have a current quantity at that location).
3. Print count tags from Print Count Tags and distribute these to the individual "counters" who will be performing the counts.
4. "Counters" will write the actual count values on the printouts and submit them to be inputted into Texada SRM.
5. Count tags are then recorded into SRM using Count Tag Entry, which in turn will update the worksheet quantities from Update Worksheet with Count Tags.

The prompts to initiate the Count Tag information entry include:

OPERATOR

The operator defaults to the operator currently signed in, but can be over-typed or re-selected from the drop-down list if required.
The operator code will be noted on the expanded record for each Count Tag.

PASSWORD

Enter the password for the selected operator.
This is mandatory to verify access.

LOCATION

The default location for the operator is displayed, and can only be modified if the operator has access to other locations as defined in Operators.
Only divisions flagged as inventory locations in Divisions can be selected.

Note: Locations that do not have an existing Inventory Worksheet that uses Count Tags to report inventory quantities can not be selected.

Count Tag Product Details:
The Count Tag Entry Details screen can be used to enter the product tag information for this location.
