Define Count Tag Range by Location

An optional block of Tag Numbers can be pre-assigned to a location, by clicking on the RANGE button in the Generate Count Tags utility.
If a location does not have a block of tag numbers assigned, the Tag Numbers will be auto-assigned sequentially.

If any block of numbers is assigned, then All further products counted at that location will be restricted to a tag within this range, and the Tag Number in Count Tag Details does not automatically default to the next number.
Any manual Count Tags that have been entered prior to generating the Count Tags by range will still be processed successfully.

The prompts to set a block of tags are:

LOC

Enter the location or select one from the drop-down list.
Only divisions flagged as inventory locations in Divisions can be selected.

DESCRIPTION

The location description is displayed.

FROM

Enter the starting point in the range for this block of Count Tags.
Any products in this location are restricted to Count Tags within this range.

TO

Enter the ending point in the range for this block of Count Tags.

Note: Because only one block of tags is permitted per location, allow a sufficient range to cover the products to be counted.
The range can be changed but cannot overlap the range from another location.

Finished?

Click ACCEPT when all locations are entered that need a range defined.

Note: Clearing the worksheet and count tags when a new worksheet is created for a location from the Inventory Count Console does not clear the range of tags reserved for this location.
