First Tier Sales Pricing


Accounts Receivable Menu -> Customer Information -> Customer Codes -> Special Pricing window -> Multi-Tiered Customer Special Pricing -> First Tier Pricing window -> First Tier Sales Pricing

This window can be used to define the sales products with the special pricing on bulk sales, that applies to this customer, as follows:

SEQ
The sequence number tracks the records in the pricing table.

PRODUCT #
Enter the product or select one from the Inventory Search window.
First tier pricing does not apply to sales Groups.

DESCRIPTION
The primary product description is displayed.

EXPIRY
Enter the date on which this special pricing no longer applies.
This date is checked against the document date, not the actual system date when the document was entered.

PRICING
Window to setup the price breaks to give the customer for volume purchases of this sales product as follows:
SEQ
The sequence number tracks the records in the pricing table.

TYPE
Select one of the following discount types from the drop-down list:
  • Enter D or select Discount Off List Price to base the pricing on a percent off the list.
  • Enter L or select Flat List Price to set a list price to charge.
  • Enter M or select Markup From Cost to base the pricing on a percent of the cost.

M/D %
This field only applies for pricing based on Markup From Cost and on Discount Off List.

Enter the percentage to use in the pricing calculation when this product is purchased at this quantity level.
e.g. 10% as 10.00


BASE/LIST PRICE
The value displayed in this field is the base from the product file on which the new price is calculated.

For Discount Off List Price this is the product List.
For Flat List Price this is the product List. This for reference only and is not used in the calculation of the new List.
For Markup From Cost this is the product Cost.


LIST PRICE
This is the price that will be charged per unit when the volume quantity is sold on a document.
  • D = Discount Off List Price:
    The value in this field reflects the new price calculated using the discount percent off the list price in the product file.
  • L = Flat List Price:
    Enter the List Price to be used with the minimum volume Quantity specified for this pricing.
    e.g. Base/List = $43, but $40 each to apply for purchases of quantity 10 or more.

  • M = Markup From Cost:
    The value in this field reflects the new price calculated using the mark up percent of the product cost in the product file.


QUANTITY
Enter the quantity break, or minimum quantity purchased, that activates this pricing.
Leave this field blank to set the minimum for this price level to zero.

Note: It is the price defined for this quantity that is charged even if there is a lesser price for less quantity.

The Tier 1 Pricing Report can be used to output all the first tier rates and pricing assigned to selected customers, to a report or to a spreadsheet.
