Close Cylinder Contract

Since a contract can be used repeatedly to track cylinder usage, this utility can be used to terminate a cylinder contract when it is no longer required so it is no longer cycle billed, and no further cylinder transactions can be added. This is usually done at the end of the season.
The cylinder balance must be zero on the contract before it can be closed.
To ensure a zero balance, cylinders can be returned using the Close transaction option, or sold to the customer using the Sell option in Cylinder Entry, before the contract can be finalized using this utility.

The prompts are:

DIVISION

Enter the division or select it from the drop-down list provided.
The division defaults according to the operator's division control defined in Operators.

LOCATION

Enter the location or select it from the drop-down list provided.
The location defaults according to the operator's location control defined in Operators.

CUSTOMER #

Enter the customer number, or select it from the Accounting Customer Search window.

CONTRACT #

Enter the contract number to be terminated.

If a single contract exists that matches the division, customer and site, the contract number will display.
If your firm allows multiple cylinder contracts per site, and more than one contract exists the View Cylinder Contracts search window is provided to view and select from those existing contracts.

Note: The cylinder balance must be zero on the contract before it can be closed.

SITE #

The corresponding site number is displayed.

Finished?

Click ACCEPT to terminate the contract, or CANCEL to abort.

Confirmation is required to close the contract, and the date, time and operator are captured.
No further cylinder transactions can then be added to a closed contract.
