Division Time Zone Offsets (Windows)

System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> System Tab -> Company & Divisions -> Division Time Zone Offsets

For "Linux" servers the Division Time Zones (Linux) window applies.
For "Non-Windows" and "Non-Linux" servers the Division Time Zones window applies.

This feature can be used for Windows networks to allow specific divisions or stores in different time zones from the server, to configure an 'offset' value in this Division Time Zones table that is used to calculate and operate at the actual time in that area.

This utility can also be used to define seasonal time changes such as 'Day Light Savings' when the clocks are adjusted by an hour for a period of time.

An operator must be assigned a Security Role that allows permission to the System - Division Time Zones in order to access this table.

The prompts to define the time for a division are:

DIVISION
Select the appropriate division from the drop-down box.

ADDRESS
The city and province or state defined in Divisions are displayed for reference.

Time Adjustments by Date:
The fields that control when the time changes and by how much include:
SEQ
The sequence number tracks the records in the table.

STARTING
Select one of the following options to define when this time change should be activated:
  • First for the 1st week of the month.
  • Fourth for the 4th week of the month.
  • Last for the last week of the month.
  • Second for the 2nd week of the month.
  • Third for the 3rd week of the month.
DAY OF WEEK
Select the day in the week on which this time change should be activated.

If the exact day of the week changes from one year to the next, Day can be selected instead of a specific week day, with starting/ending as the First or Last.
e.g. (First, Day, Jan) for January 1 or (Last, Day, Dec) for December 31
This formula would apply when setting a time offset for an entire year, such as when the store is in a different time zone.

MONTH
Select the month in which this time change should be activated.

ENDING
Select which week in the month that this time change should revert back to standard time.
i.e. if the clock had been moved 'forward', it will move back on this date
DAY OF WEEK
Select the day in the week on which this time change should be reversed.

MONTH
Select the month in which this time change should be reversed.

MINUTES OFFSET
Enter the number of minutes that the clock at this store or division should change from the server time.
i.e. 60+ to move ahead by 1 hour, or 60- to move back an hour

Finished?
Multiple time adjusting records can be setup for a division when a Time Zone change is required as well a period time change such Day Light Savings.

Click Accept to accept and exit the table, or Cancel to abort.
