The search utility can be used to view and select from your firms standard product Models and/or Makes as defined in the master list in Product Make and Model List.

It is optional to use these standardized Make and Model descriptions on sales and rental products but it can be useful to regulate consistent Model descriptions as they can be used in the Inventory Search filters to help find products.

The prompts are:

TYPE

Select one of the following field types:

• Click Model to access the list of standard descriptions setup in the Product Make and Model List table for the Model number of a Sale or Rental product.
• Click Make to access the list of standard descriptions setup in the Product Make and Model List table for the Make of a Sale or Rental product.

KEYWORD

Leave this field blank to include all descriptions of that Type or to narrow the search enter any few characters in the description.

Click the SEARCH button

Search Results
All the descriptions for that Type and matching the Keyword entered, are displayed.
The list can be resorted by in ascending or descending order, by clicking in the column heading.
To select a value from the displayed list, double-click on the appropriate record, or highlight the record and click the SELECT button.
When entering a Make or Model for a non-bulk rental product, the description is validated against the descriptions defined by your firm in the Product Make and Model List and a warning is generated if the Make or Model description does not conform.
