Inventory Clean-Up Export


Utilities Menu -> Inventory Control -> Inventory Clean-Up -> Inventory Clean-Up Export

This export utility can be used to select the products to be updated and to generate a spreadsheet with the existing values for the products in the selection range.
Refer to Inventory Clean-Up for the specific values that can be updated for each of the Product, Safety Notes, Asset Tag, File Attachments, Fuel, Specifications, and P.O. Codes exports.

The prompts are:

DATE FORMAT
This prompt only appears if the import sheet includes a date.

Accept the date format default as defined for your company in Company Information, or enter the preferred format.
i.e. North America = mm/dd/yyyy , European = dd/mm/yyyy


LOCATION OR 'ALL'
This prompt only appears if the export/import is for 'Inventory Bin Locations'.

Select one of the following location options:

  • Type ALL to include products for all locations in the report.
  • To generate the export for only a single location, leave this field blank for the Head Office, or enter a specific location code, or select a location from the drop-down list.
  • Type SEL to select a range of locations or locations by inventory region to include in the export, as outlined in Division Select By Region.

Note: Divisional restricted views set by the operator Access Values do not apply to this utility.


RENTAL PRODUCT TYPE
Select one of the following product type filters:
  • Click Bulk to only include bulk rental products in the selected range.
  • Click Non-Bulk to only include non-bulk rental products in the selected range.
  • Click All to include sales parts, bulk rental products and non-bulk rental products in the selected range.

Note: With the "PRODUCT" export this prompt is only enabled if Rental or Both is selected for the Product Type filter below and defaults to All when Sales is selected for the Product Type.


PRODUCT TYPE
This filter only applies to the "PRODUCT" export as selected in Inventory Clean-Up and impacts the Rental Product Type filter above.
Select one of the following product type filters:
  • Click Rental to only include rental products in the selected range.
  • Click Sales to only include sales products in the selected range.
  • Click Both to include both sales parts and rental products in the selected range.

Product Selection:
Only one of the following three filters can be used to select the products for the worksheet export.
PRODUCT, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'
  • Type ALL to include all products matching the selected Product Type.
  • Enter a specific product number to export only that product, or select one from the Inventory Search window.
  • Type SEL to select a combination of products to include as outlined in Select Products window.

CLASS, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'
  • Type ALL to include products from all Product Classes, that match the selected Product Type.
  • Enter a specific Class to export only products from a single Product Class, or select a Class from the Product Class Search window.
  • Type SEL to select a combination of Product Classes to include as outlined in Select Class List window.

GROUP, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'
  • Type ALL to include products from all Groups, that match the selected Product Type.
  • Enter a specific Group to export only products from a single Product Group, or select a Group from the Product Group Search window.
  • Type SEL to select a combination of Product Groups to include as outlined in Select Group List window.

ACTIVE ASSET ONLY
Leave this box checked to only include:
  • Rental Products that have at least one Tag with an Active (A) status, and have a Quantity On Hand of 1 or greater.
  • Sales Parts that have a Quantity On Hand of 1 or greater.

Uncheck this box to include all products in the range, regardless of Tag or Qty on Hand.

Note: This filter does not check the "Inventory" y/n flag.


Finished?
Click ACCEPT to generate the spreadsheet or CANCEL to abort.

Save the Revised Data:
When the values are all updated on the worksheet, save the completed spreadsheet as a tab-delimited text file on your client machine, then use the Select a File to Upload utility to move the saved text file from your client to the server in preparation for re-importing the data.
