Custom Delivery & Pickup Charge

This window provides the ability to set custom charges for both delivery and pickup on this document.
The pop-up window is only triggered after document product details are accepted, if the delivery and pickup Service Code selected on the document header is designated as a 'Type $' service.

When a 'Type $' Service Code is selected, this over-rides any "auto" assigned delivery/pickup codes including the Group designated delivery rates and 'Type D' ranked charges, to allow a customized service charge amount to be manually entered for special delivery situations, such as the distance to the customer site is outside of the standard delivery area.

The prompts in the window for calculating custom delivery and pickup include:

SERVICE

The 'Type $' service code that was selected on the document header is displayed.

QUANTITY

This field is enabled only of the Service Code has been configured to Prompt for Quantity such as the number of miles or kilometers, and then the Amount per unit field is disabled.
Enter the quantity to be billed for delivery or pickup, or if no charge should be billed over-type the quantity with a zero.

AMOUNT

This field is enabled only of the Service Code has NOT been configured to Prompt for Quantity, and so the Quantity field is disabled.
Enter the flat amount to be billed for delivery or pickup, or if no charge should be billed over-type the amount with a zero.

EXTENDED

The total dollar amount that will be billed for the custom delivery or pickup service, is displayed.

Finished?

Click OK when the information is complete.
The charges are added to the document services and totals.
