Reset Declining Balance YTD Values

This utility can also be added to an Additional Options menu for direct access from the menu tree.

The Reset Asset Depreciation YTD$/YTD# tool has been developed to re-calculate the count for the year-to-date number of depreciations and dollar amount for the year-to-date depreciation for all asset tags that have a Depreciation History record with the method of 'D' Declining Balance on the specified date.
The new YTD number of depreciations and new YTD depreciation dollar value are based on the sum of all depreciation history records in the Accumulated Depreciation window on the Fixed Asset Tag, after the specified date.

Enter the "DATE OF CHANGE TO DECLINING BALANCE".
Any depreciation history records of type 'D' on this date of adjustment will be recalculated based on the depreciation history records after this date to reset the two new YTD values.

This date is used to select the products to update, but only history records after this date are included in the recalculation.

A spreadsheet is generate listing all the product numbers that will be updated with the product description, Asset Tag number, new YTD Dollars in the current year and new YTD number of Depreciations in the current year.
Confirmation is required before the product tags are updated.

No change is made to the Accumulated Depreciation history or to the G/L postings.
