Export QR Codes to Tab-Delimited Text File

An external resource URL or QR (Quick Response) image can be defined in the Rental Information window of each bulk or non-bulk Rental Inventory item to provide more information about that asset.
This QR / URL information link is used to supply a resource reference such as in the 'Texada Web' In-Yard Returns.

This export utility generates a tab-delimited text output file listing the selected bulk and non-bulk rental products with the QR / URL information currently defined in the Rental Information.

Export filters include:

PRODUCT, ALL OR SEL

• Type ALL to include all products in the report.
• To generate the report for a single product, enter the product number or select it from the Inventory Search window.
• Type SEL to select a range of products to include in the report as outlined in Select Products.

CLASS, ALL OR SEL

• Type ALL to include products/Groups from all Product Classes in the report.
• Enter a specific class, to print the report only for products/Groups from a single Product Class, or select a Product Class from the Product Class Search window.
• Type SEL to select a combination of Product Classes to include in the report as outlined in Selected Class List.

GROUP, ALL OR SEL

• Type ALL to include all Groups in the report.
• Enter a single specific Group for the report, or select it from the Group Search window.
• Type SEL to select multiple Groups in the Select Group List window.

Note: One of the Product, Class or Group filters is required.

Finished?

Click ACCEPT to initiate the Export action, or click CANCEL to abort and exit.
Confirmation to create and download the ./tmpdir/qr_codes_export.txt output is required.

Output:

A tab-delimited text output file is created listing the selected bulk and non-bulk rental products with the Product#, Product Description, Class, Class Description, Group, Group Description and the QR / URL information currently defined in the Rental Information.

The 'QR Code' values for each rental record can be updated on the ./tmpdir/qr_codes_export.txt file before the file is saved on the client with the same or a new name.

After the updated tab-delimited text file has been saved on the Client it can be moved to the Server using the UPLOAD button on the Maintain External Resource URL screen, in preparation for re-importing the URL codes, by the IMPORT button on the Maintain External Resource URL.
