Add Rental Products to Merge Queue

This utility can be used to generate a list of eligible bulk or non-bulk rental products based on low activity, that could be merged into one Retained product#. The list populates the worksheet that is later used by the Merge Rental Product Numbers action.

. The prompts are:

CLEAR EXISTING MERGE QUEUE

Uncheck this box to clear the records from the Merge Rental Product Numbers worksheet before adding records identified from this build selection.
Check this box if any existing records in the Merge Rental Product Numbers worksheet should be saved and new records added.

CUT-OFF ACTIVITY DATE

Accept the default date from 1 year ago today or enter a preferred cut-off date.
This cut-off date can be used to determine if the Rental product has any recent activity.

GROUP, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'

Select one of the following Group sources or leave this field blank to use the Product selection option below:

• Type ALL to consider products from all Groups in the build.
• Enter a specific Group to only consider products from that Group, or select the Group from the Product Group Search window.
• Type SEL to select a combination of Product Groups to include in the build as outlined in Select Group List window.

PRODUCT, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'

If no Group selection was made, select one of the following Product sources:

• Type ALL to consider all products that are in the same class as the "Retained Product".
• Enter a specific Product, or select one from the Inventory Search window.
• Type SEL to select a combination of Products to include in the build as outlined in Select Products window.

SKIP PRODUCTS WITH CURRENT ACTIVITY

Check this box to cause the program to check for any activity after the cut-off date.
If current activity is found the product will not be included in the list.

Uncheck this box to skip this product activity check.
Confirmations is required as Rental products with activity later than the cut-off date could still be potentially active.

Note: If this product check is skipped, it is important to check the resulting product list carefully and remove any active products from the worksheet that should NOT be merged before proceeding with the merge action.
Be advised that once executed, this operation cannot be undone.
Hence, prior to running this request, verify in the play environment that the results obtained from running this operation are as expected.

MERGE TO RETAINED PRODUCT #

Enter an existing bulk rental product # that allows multiple Tags, to be the target product or select it from the Inventory Search window.
Only products in the same Rental Product Class are eligible for the merge.

Click ACCEPT to build the list of eligible products adding them to the worksheet, or CANCEL to abort.

Resulting Parts Merge Worksheet:
A list of bulk and non-bulk rental product numbers to be merged into the one product number, is displayed on the Merge Rental Product Numbers worksheet.
All eligible records will be flagged to change to the Retained Product#.
Verify and that the products listed as obsolete are correct as outlined in Merge Rental Product Numbers before completing the merge.
Note: When the merge is completed the obsolete rental numbers will be deleted.
