Utilities Menu -> Counter -> Update Contract Rental Pricing - Single Customer -> CUSTOM -Update Contract Rental Pricing - Multiple Customers


This utility is a custom program and is not available to other users.

It is similar to the Update Contract Rental Pricing - Single Customer however it can be used to update multiple contracts for selected customers.
This is a very powerful utility that can change pricing across a broad scope and should be used with caution.
Texada advises strict security levels should be set to restrict access.

Neither utility changes the main product file rate structure.
The Rate Increase/Decrease Utility can be used to update the standard rate structure for the equipment.

The prompts are:

CUSTOMER SELECTION
This value defaults to the previous selected option.
The options are:
  • Click 'Single' to update rates on open contracts for a specific customer as outlined in Update Contract Rental Pricing - Single Customer.
  • Click 'Multiple' to update rates on a selection of open contracts for a selection of customers as outlined below in this utility.

Update Contract Rental Pricing - Multiple Customers
The prompts are:


CUSTOMER, "ALL" OR "SEL"
  • Type ALL to include customers in the update.
  • To update contracts a single customer, enter the customer number, or select it from the Accounting Customer Search window.
  • Type SEL to select multiple customers to include in the update as outlined in Selected Customers.
Only contracts for this customer selection will be eligible for the change to rental rates by Group.

If rates need to be updated on contracts for any Child related to the customers, then this utility would need to be run for each child customer.


CONTRACT, "ALL" OR "SEL"
  • Type ALL to include all open contracts for the customer selection in the update.
  • To update a single contract for the selected customer, enter the document number or select it from the Contract Search window.
  • Type SEL to select multiple contracts for the selected customers to include in the update, as outlined in Selected Contracts.

RENTAL PERIOD FROM
This is usually disabled is it a custom 'Rental Period' value that is not used in many system configurations.
RENTAL PERIOD TO
This is usually disabled is it a custom 'Rental Period' value that is not used in many system configurations.

DEFAULT INCREASE/DECREASE %
Enter the default rate percent to increase or decrease each rate level for each Group.
Enter a negative sign with the percent if the rate is supposed to be decreased.
This becomes the default in the worksheet where the rate for specific product Groups can be changed as required before processing.

Note: Meter rates are not updated.


DEFAULT ROUNDING FACTOR
Leave this field blank if no rounding is required or enter the value that the should be used to round up the new rates increase/decrease for each Group.
This becomes the default in the worksheet that can be changed for specific product Groups before processing.

e.g. Enter .50 to round up to the nearest 50 cents, or for the nearest dollar, enter 1.00


Finished?
Click ACCEPT to generate the worksheet displaying all Groups for rental products out on contract for this customer.
Click CANCEL to abort.

Locked by Another User:
This utility can only be run by one user at a time to prevent record overlaps.
If a user gets dropped or exits this utility incorrectly then this program will remain locked.
The lock can be cleared by terminating the "dead" session in the 'Show Users' window in the Database Locking Inquiry.
