A Driver's License can be entered manually or captured by scanning the license card, to be saved in the Driver's License window of Customer Information.
The license number or scanned image can then be used to identify a customer when a document is entered by entering the number or re-scanning the license in the window on the Customer# field of the document.

For information on driver's licenses scanning options, refer to Driver's License Scanners.

The same driver's license can be assigned to multiple customers, to provide the ability to identify a person doing business with your firm on behalf of a company, and also on behalf of himself.
When the license is scanned on a document and that scan matches multiple customer records, the Select Customer window is provided to allow the operator to select the correct customer record.
When a license or scanned license is deleted, it is only removed from the specified customer record, as it still may be valid for other customer records.

The Driver's License becomes a required field on Contracts and Reservations if the Mandatory Driver's License flag has been set in the Divisional Contract Parameters and the customer is not the Blank customer.
