Delete A G/L Account

This option can be used to delete an unused G/L Account which has been entered into Chart Of Accounts, and can be accessed from the DELETE button in Chart Of Accounts.

Tight control can be maintained on which operators are able to delete G/L accounts, by controlling the permissions on the roles assigned to Operators.
Refer to the Security Roles setup on the Security tab of Configure System Settings for more information.

After the G/L Account number to be deleted has been entered or selected from the G/L Account Search window, the program checks that the account is not used in specific places before allowing the deletion.
If the account is in use, the screen displays where the account is being used and this account will have to be replaced or deleted from that file or table first.
