Change Password in All Divisions

Sign On Screen -> Main Menu -> SET PASSWORD button -> Change Password Across All Divisions

Sign On Screen -> Password -> Password Expired -> Change Password Across All Divisions

This option only applies if Operators by Division has been activated in Company Information.
It can be used to change the access password for a specific user in Operators for every division to which he has access based on the operator assigned System ID code.

Note: When the external 'Authentication' feature is enabled in the Texada Support Parameters this "Password" control processing is disabled and the operator is redirected the to the User Management Menu on Texada Web.

The prompts are:

OPERATOR CODE
The operator code of the person logging into this terminal will display, and cannot be changed.

SYSTEM ID
The system assigned ID will display, and cannot be changed.
The change to the password is based on the System ID across divisions rather than the operator name, as this ID is more unique than the name could be.

EMAIL ADDRESS
The email address assigned to this operator at this location is displayed, and can be updated if required.

OLD PASSWORD
For verification, correctly type in the old password in order to replace it with a new one.
This helps to ensure that only the person assigned that Operator code can change their password.

For security purposes, when the password is entered it will NOT display on the screen, but will display as asterisks instead.

NEW PASSWORD
Type in the new Password.
This will not actually display for security reasons.

A password cannot match the operator sign in code or the sign in division, and must contain both alpha and numeric characters.
Further password requirements can be set in the Password Controls security utility.

Random Password Generator:
Click the Create icon (green plus symbol) beside the New Password field to cause the system to provide a random password that will be much harder for a hacker to discover.
The suggested password must then be manually typed in and confirmed to activated it for the operator.

RE-ENTER NEW PASSWORD
Type in the new Password again.
This verifies that the new password typed in above is correct.

Finished?
Click ACCEPT to accept the new password and proceed or click CANCEL to abort the password change.

Resulting Operator List to Update
A list of the existing operator records using this code at each division is displayed with division, code, name, and the email address.
Check the corresponding box for any records that should be changed to reflect the new operator name, password, and email address.
The existing Password previously assigned to the operator as of that division is required for verification of user.
Click ACCEPT to accept changes to the selected operator or CANCEL to abort.
Confirmation is required to complete the update, and again to update the name and email address information.

When a password is expired an audit record is written to track the change in Audit Log Inquiry / Export.
