Posting Control

System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> System Tab -> Texada Settings -> Posting Control File

The Posting Control file is a list of critical files that the software uses to control file access and posting conflicts, in order to protect against loss or over-write of data.
This utility can be accessed in the "Texada Settings" on the System tab of the Configure System Settings and is for use by Texada Support.

The file name with the file or module description is displayed.

The software is designed to flag and unflag specific files when the corresponding update or posting action is in progress.
Posting functions trigger a warning to other users when the Posting Control flag is locked stating the time and location of the lock.

In the event a posting process is terminated incorrectly such as a power failure, an incorrect abort, or an error causing a rollback, the associated control flag will not be reset properly.

Operators with permission to reset that specific posting status, as controlled by his Security Role that is defined in Operators, have the option to reset the Posting Control flag at that time.
Whenever a posting control flag is reset from a posting program, a record is written to the Delete Log for the corresponding Function.
