Posting Identification By Product

This option only appears on the IC Utilities Menu when the Post by Inventory by Customer Type feature has been activated in the Support Application Parameters.
Refer to Inventory Posting Identification Overview for details on this feature.

The Posting ID codes for non-bulk rental equipment can be viewed and updated in this option.
The prompts are:

PRODUCT #

Leave this field blank to list all non-bulk rental equipment on the screen, or enter a starting product number, or select one from the Inventory Search window.

Resulting Product List:

SEQ

The sequence numbers help sort the records in the file.

PRODUCT #

The product numbers for the non-bulk rental equipment display.

DESC

The corresponding product descriptions display.

CURRENT ID & DESCRIPTION

The Current Posting ID code as assigned in Rental Inventory displays with the associated description.
This code can be changed if required, by selecting the correct Current ID from the drop-down list as setup in Posting Identification.
Any changes made here to the Current ID are tracked in Posting ID Changes and flagged as Manual changes.

RENTAL ID & DESCRIPTION

The Rental Posting ID code as assigned in Rental Inventory displays with the associated description.
This can be changed if required, by selecting the correct Rental ID from the drop-down list as setup in Posting Identification.
When the product is next rented, this Posting ID code will automatically replace the Current ID.

SALES ID & DESCRIPTION

The Sales Posting ID code as assigned in Rental Inventory displays with the associated description.
This can be changed if required, by selecting the correct Rental ID from the drop-down list as setup in Posting Identification.
When the product is sold, this Posting ID code will automatically replace the Current ID code.

CHG

Manual and system generate changes to the Posting ID can be viewed in the window as outlined in Posting ID Changes.
