Rental Return Product Codes

System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> Operations Tab -> General Settings -> Rental Return Product Codes

The Rental Return Product Codes can be used to describe or categorize the damage on rental equipment or to flag a product requiring service, at the time it is returned from rent in the Rental Return and identified as D - Damaged in the return product details.
In Contract Damaged Returns the damage code can be selected and a location for the transfer transaction to the service department can also be generated according to the return code that is assigned.

Rental product details that have been flagged with a return code on a returned contract can be tracked in Contract Damaged Returns for follow-up.

Return codes can be maintained in the Rental Return Product Codes window in the "General Settings" on the Operations tab of the Configure System Settings.
An operator must be assigned a Security Role that allows permission to the Operations - Rental Return Product Codes in order to access this table.

Note: The security by division feature as determined by Divisional Restricted Views does NOT apply to the return code utilities.

Enter a reason or damage code using a maximum of 3 characters.

Enter the description or cause of the return code.
e.g. Damaged by customer or Requires service

Enter the location to which the equipment should be returned when this return code is applied, or select one from the drop-down list.
An Inventory Transfer transaction is written moving the equipment to this location. This can be over-typed in the Rental Return.
