A Trial Build can be run for a product to determine if there are
sufficient component quantities to build a specific quantity of the
new product.
Specifications must first be setup for the product in Product Spec Sheet .
If the Trial Build is accepted, then the Production Run is
committed and the first Production Run sheet for the first shift is
printed along with the Production Specifications.
The Production Run sheet and the Production Specifications can be
re-printed for any "open" runs from Print
Production Run Sheets .
The requirements/availability file is updated reducing the
component parts by the committed quantities, and increasing the
built product by the number being manufactured. This change in the
requirements can be viewed in Requirements
Inquiry By Product/Group . Manufacturing transactions can be
identified by the source code M.
When a shift is completed, the run can be closed in Manufacturing Receiving. The requirement records
are then cleared and the product file quantities are updated.
A new Production Run Sheet can be printed for the next shift.
