Select Circular Pricing
This Circular Pricing window only displays when the sales item
entered on the document is currently eligible for special pricing
as setup in Circular Pricing by product,
class, or group.
The pricing can be maintained in the Circular Pricing window in
the "Rental Rates & Pricing" parameters on the
Operations tab of the Configure System
Settings.
Prices are applied when the sales items are entered on the
Counter Worksheet, Quotations, Reservations,
Contracts, Miscellaneous Invoices or Point Of Sale Invoices.
Circular pricing selection is based on the system date, not the
document date.
If circular pricing is taken, then the customer will NOT qualify
for any other Price Codes discount
programs.
Information for each circular promotion for this product for the
current date includes:

- REQUIRED QUANTITY
- This is the quantity of the sales product that must be
purchased to receive this sales special.
QUANTITY- When the window opens, the cursor is positioned in the
Quantity field of the line with the best price based on the
quantity entered on the document.
To select a price record, either type Y, +, or =, in the Quantity
field to accept the greater of the Required Quantity or the
quantity entered on the document.
If the operator exits the window and no selection is made, then the
standard price from the product file applies.
If sufficient quantity is entered to be eligible for a Buy 1 Get
1 Free type sale, the Buy One Get One Free
Pricing window opens.
- COUPON
- The word Coupon will display in the Quantity field, if the
circular has been assigned a value in the Coupon field in Circular Pricing.
If this price record is selected the operator will then be prompted
for the correct Coupon number which can be scanned or typed in, in
order to apply the special price.
PRICE OR DISCOUNT- This is the sale price per unit offered for the special.
Note: If this is a Buy 1 Get 1 Free type sale, the quantity to
be given and the word FREE are displayed.
DESCRIPTION- This is the description of the Type the special
price.
i.e. Sale Price, % Discount, $ Off List, Standard Price
Note: If this is a Buy 1 Get 1 Free, then the description of the
free product displays instead.
Expanded Price Record- Press <F9> to expand the circular pricing line to view:
- CIRCULAR#
- This is the number assigned to this circular promotion as set
in Circular Pricing.
LINE- The 2 letters reported in this field represent how this price
detail was calculated.
- The first letter represents the price Type, and can be
D for Discount, L for new List, P for
reduction in Price, or B for Buy 1 Get 1 Free.
- The second letter represents the product Level at which
the special price is applied and can be P for Product,
G for Group, or C for Class.
PRODUCT/GROUP/CLASS NUMBER- This is the product, group, or class number, according to the
Level that this price special is based on.
CIRCULAR DESCRIPTION- This the description of the circular promotion.
Note: The Circular Pricing window also includes a pricing line
showing the standard sales price from Sales
Inventory.
In the expanded record the Description is Standard Price,
and the Circ# is STD PRICE and the Line is * * as
this price does not represent a circular price.
Any special pricing as setup in the "Rental Rates & Pricing"
parameters on the Operations tab of Configure System Settings in Price Codes, or customer sales discounts are
reflected only in the "Standard Price" and "Buy 1 Get 1 Free"
options.
