Product Special Pricing

System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> Operations Tab -> Rental Rates & Pricing -> Price Codes -> Details window -> Product Special Pricing

After the codes are setup in the Price Codes, this screen can be used to select the products that apply and to set the quantity and price break levels.

This Product pricing can be maintained for each Price Code in the Details window in the Price Codes option in the "Rental Rates & Pricing" parameters on the Operations tab of the Configure System Settings.

FLYER SPECIALS
Flyer Specials can be achieved using the special case - PRICE CODE BLANK.
When all customers are initially entered into Customer Information, they are usually assigned Price Code Blank. This means the Flyer Specials can be setup quickly, and can apply to all customers automatically.

If the customer already has a Price Code assigned in Customer Information, then the customer will get the special prices associated with that Price Code, and also the flyer specials.
For example, if the customer was assigned Price Code 1 for product #12360 Red Shot for $1.50 and the flyer special has product # 45600 Purple Shot for $1.00, and the customer places an order for both items, then both special prices apply.

When both the Price Code assigned to the customer and the flyer special apply to the same item, then the price associated with the Price Code will be used, even if the flyer special is a lower price.
The rationale is that the customer always gets the price associated with the Price Code.
For example, if the customer was assigned Price Code 1 product #12360 Red Shot for $1.50 and the flyer special has the same product for $1.00, then the customer would still be charged $1.50, since that would be the usual charge for the customer.

The Flyer Specials can be setup ahead of time, using another Price Code, then copy them to Price Code Blank when the flyer takes effect.
Do this using Copy Price Codes.

Price Code Set-Up:
To setup the Flyer Specials, first setup the Blank Price Code in option Price Codes.
See the example below:

CODE DESCRIPTION TYPE M/D% FROM DATE TO DATE
---- ----------- ---- ---- ---------- ----------
        FLYER SPECIALS L July 1 July 31
