Utilities Menu -> Inventory Control -> Clone Rental & Sales Products -> Inventory Adjustments

The information in this window tracks when and why inventory quantity changes are made.

The Adjustment information window is only triggered the first time changes are made each time in the Locations window, although multiple quantity changes may be made.
To trigger the window again in order to set a different Adjustment Date/Type, close the window and re-open it, before making further quantity changes.

ADJUSTMENT DATE
Accept today's date if adding or changing the quantities using current information, or type in the applicable date.

Note: If adjustments are backdated to reflect your fiscal year end, this impacts the Inventory Value Reports By Date and updates the Date Counted in Sales Inventory or Rental Inventory.

ADJUSTMENT TYPE
Enter the type of quantity adjustment or select one from the window. Adjustment types are setup in Inventory Adjustment Types with the G/L account used for the inventory value posting.

COMMENT
Enter brief notes regarding this adjustment to the product quantity.

Finished?
Click OK to accept and exit the window.

An Inventory Adjustment record is automatically written, noting any operator who makes a change.
A record is also written to Review Location Qty Changes.

After any product quantities changes are made directly to the location count, use Post Inventory Adjustments to print an audit report and to generate the postings to balance the change in the Inventory value in the G/L.
