Delete A Product Class

A Product Classes can be deleted from Sales Product Class or from Rental Product Class by clicking on the DELETE button.

Tight control can be maintained on which operators are able to delete classes, by controlling the permissions on the roles assigned to Operators.
Refer to the Security Roles setup on the Security tab of Configure System Settings for more information.

The prompts to delete a Product Class are:

CLASS

Type in the Product Class to delete, or look it up in the window.

Finished?

Click ACCEPT to proceed or CANCEL to abort.

PRODUCT NUMBER

A check is performed to ensure that there are no products assigned to this Product Class before it can be deleted.

CLASS IN USE - CANNOT DELETE

If products are identified, the first product number found is displayed, with the warning CLASS IN USE - CANNOT DELETE.
Click OK to acknowledge that the class cannot be deleted.
Any products in the class, can be moved to another class, using Exchange Product Class, and this delete program can be re-run.

DELETE THIS CLASS

If no products are found for this class, click YES confirm that the Product Class should be removed from the system.
Click NO to abort the deletion process of this class.
