Update Product Descriptions By Group
This is a maintenance utility that can be added to an Additional Options menu as it is not on a
standard menu.
This update utility provides easy access for updating product
descriptions and alternate product descriptions by Group.
This can be useful when some firms prefer the items in that Group
to be described similarly to the Group description.

- PRODUCT GROUP
- Enter the desired Group or select it from the Group Search window.
The Group description displays on the screen.
SORT BY- Select one of the following sorting options:
- Select Product # to display the products numerically in
product number sequence.
- Select Description to display the products
alphabetically in product description order.
PRODUCT #- The product numbers are listed for all products in this
Group.
This field cannot be modified.
DESCRIPTION- The current product description is displayed.
This can be modified as required.
- ALTERNATE DESCRIPTIONS
- A window is provided to view and update any Alternate
Descriptions associated with this product.
ALTERNATE LANGUAGE- The current optional alternate language description is
displayed for the product.
This can be modified as required.
Finished?- Click ACCEPT twice to accept the description changes entered,
or CANCEL to abort.
Any changes will be reflected in Sales
Inventory and Rental Inventory.
