Inventory Re-Order Impact Report

This inventory report provides detailed quantity and cost
information for Sales parts and Bulk Rental equipment according to
the suggested Re-order information and product cost. The average
product cost is used, or the average product location cost for
sales parts if cost by location processing is active.
The report can be generated for products using company wide
re-order quantities, or location re-order quantities, or both.
It lists the product #, description, location, quantity on hand,
re-order minimum quantity, and maximum quantity. It calculates and
prints the minimum costs, the maximum costs, and any surplus costs
for overstocked products.
Sales parts or Rental equipment with the "Special Order" flag is
set in the Re-Order window of Sales
Inventory or Rental Inventory, will be
excluded from this re-order report.
The prompts to generate the report are:

- FROM CLASS
- Leave this field blank to include products from all Product
Classes, or enter a starting Class, or select one from the
window.
- TO CLASS
- Leave this field blank to include products from all Product
Classes, or enter an ending Class or select one from the
window.
FROM GROUP
- Leave this field blank to include products from all Product
Groups, or enter a starting Group, or one from the window.
- TO GROUP
- Leave this field blank to include products from all Product
Groups, or enter an ending Group or select one from the
window.
PRINT SURPLUS COST
- Type N (NO) to exclude the surplus cost information column.
Type Y (YES) to include the surplus cost amounts for the Sales
parts. The surplus cost is the On Hand quantity less Maximum
re-order quantity X the product's Average Cost.
At least one of the print options Surplus Cost, Min
Cost, or Max Cost columns should be selected.
PRINT MIN COST
- Type N (NO) to exclude the minimum cost information column.
Type Y (YES) to include the minimum cost amounts for the Sales
parts. The minimum cost is the Minimum re-order quantity X the
product's Average Cost.
At least one of the print options Surplus Cost, Min
Cost, or Max Cost columns should be selected.
PRINT MAX COST
- Type N (NO) to exclude the maximum cost information column.
Type Y (YES) to include the maximum cost amounts for the Sales
parts. The maximum cost is the Maximum re-order quantity X the
product's Average Cost.
At least one of the print options Surplus Cost, Min
Cost, or Max Cost columns should be selected.
CUTOFF AMOUNT
- Enter a cutoff dollar amount for the report.
According to the selected descending sequence, products with a
surplus, min, or max cost, of less than this amount, will not be
printed on the report. If the cutoff amount is blank, the cutoff
amount is zero so products with zero and negative costs are
omitted.
DESCENDING SEQUENCE BY
- This report can be printed in descending sequence for 1 of the
above three Cost columns. A window is provided to view the 3
options:
Type 1 to print in descending order
of the Surplus Cost.
Type 2 to print in descending order of the Minimum Cost.
Type 3 to print in descending order of the Maximum Cost.
COMPANY WIDE RE-ORDERING INVENTORY
- Type E to Exclude products with company wide re-order
information.
e.g. Re-Order By Location is Y (YES) in the Re-order window
of Sales Inventory or Rental Inventory.
Only Sales parts and bulk Rental equipment that are re-ordered by
location will be printed.
Type O to print Only inventory that is ordered by company wide
Min/Max Re-order information.
e.g. Re-Order By Location is Blank or N (NO) in Sales Inventory or Rental
Inventory.
Products that have re-order information by location will not be
printed, and the following prompt to select a Location is
skipped.
Type I to Include all Sales parts.
LOCATION, "ALL" OR "SEL"

- Type ALL to include all locations in the report.
- To print the report for a single location, leave this field
blank for the Head Office, or enter a specific location code, or
select one from the drop-down list.
- Type SEL to select several specific locations or locations by
inventory region to include in the report, as outlined in Division Select By Region.
SORT BY LOCATION
- Type N (NO) to list the products in descending order, not
separated by location.
Products with zero quantities are omitted.
Type Y (YES) to sort the products in descending order within
division.
Products with a location record are included, even if there is a
zero quantity at the location.
Finished?
- A printer can be confirmed or re-selected from the Printer
option located on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the ACCEPT button to begin printing the report, or CANCEL
to abort.
