Update Rates By Global Range

** This utility is under development and is not yet available. **

This option is used to increase or decrease the rental rates on your products. All in the selected Product Classes, and selected Groups and also in the selected Product # range will be included in the update.
The prompts are:

FROM PRODUCT CLASS
<F4> Enter the starting product class.

TO PRODUCT CLASS
<F4> Enter the ending product class.

FROM GROUP
<F4> Enter the starting product group.

TO GROUP
<F4> Enter the ending product group.

FROM PRODUCT #
<F4> Enter the starting product number.

TO PRODUCT #
<F4> Enter the ending product number.

% INCREASE
Enter the percentage increase. For a 10% increase, type 10.00

New Rate = Old Rate x (1 + % increase)
11.00 = 10.00 x (1 + 10.00)


AFFECT GROUP RATES
Type N (NO) to leave Group Rates unchanged.

Type Y (YES) to also update the Group Rates.
Group rates that are updated are determined by the Product Class and Group selection made above.
If the Product Class and Group selections are left blank, ALL Group rates will be updated.


RENTAL, METER, BOTH
Enter R if the increase or decrease is to only affect the Rental rates.
Enter M if the increase or decrease is to only affect the Meter rates.
Enter B if the increase or decrease is to only affect Both the Rental rates and Meter rates.

BULK, NON-BULK, OR ALL
Enter B (BULK) to change Only rates for the bulk items.
Enter N (NON-BULK) to change Only rates for single non-bulk products.
Enter A (ALL) to change rates for all products.

NON-BULK OWNING DIVISION
For Non-Bulk rental items, only the items whose tags are owned by the owning division identified here, are affected.

ROUNDING FACTOR
Enter the dollar amount to be used as a rounding factor. The rental rates will be rounded up to the nearest factor. i.e. to round up to the nearest dollar, type 1.00

New Rate = Old Rate x (1 + % increase)
12.10 = 11.00 x (1 + 10.00)

Round 12.10 up to nearest dollar = $13.00 - rounded New Rate


EFFECTIVE DATE FOR INCREASE
Press <ENTER> to accept today's date if the rate change should take place immediately, or enter the date when the new rates are to apply.
If a future date is entered, this effective date and the new rates can be viewed in the product and group rate records, by pressing <F9>. Any Contracts, Quotations, Reservations, etc., entered with a date out that is later than this date will be billed at the new rate.
At this effective date, the new rates replace the expired rates in the product and group rate file.

ACCEPT OR / CANCEL
Press Y (YES) to proceed or / to cancel.

RATE DECREASE:
To decrease your rates, use a negative number. Example: to decrease your rates by 10% use 10.00-
