View a Text File

This is the standard view screen that displays the contents of a text file that could have been generated from various functions in the software where follow-up may be required.
It is useful for viewing data files and system generated logs.

The file name is displayed with the path.
e.g. /tmp/tsi.log or c:\scsbin\\scstemp\279408.S.log

Some of the sources for such a text file include:

• The Data Base Compare check run from Database Sanity Check
• The Jasper Debug Log triggered by a failed Jasper report as outlined in Log Forms Errors in Company Customer Forms
• The Automated Job Trace Log run by SCS operator for diagnostic purposes from the SCSCRON Log
• The Logbox Payments can be reviewed from the VIEW button on the Import Lockbox Payments

ACTIONS:
Additional actions provided by buttons on the View a Text File screen include:

• Print the Log File:
  Click the PRINT button to create a hard copy or to email the contents of the log, according to the print selection for the session.
